Terms of Use

The French version of these terms is the reference version; this English version is provided for convenience.

These terms govern the use of the Répondo AI service ("the service") by the businesses that subscribe to it ("you", "the client"). By using the service, you accept them.

1. The service

Répondo AI provides a virtual phone receptionist that answers the calls you don't take, in French and English. It answers your customers' questions using the information you provide, books appointments in your calendar (Google Calendar or the built-in calendar), sends confirmation and reminder texts, takes messages and can transfer a call to the number you set. An app lets you follow your calls, messages and appointments.

2. Account and setup

• You provide accurate, up-to-date information about your business: services, prices, hours, policies. The receptionist only gives out this information.
• A local Répondo number is assigned to your business. You turn on call forwarding to that number on your phone; we help you do it.
• You keep your login credentials confidential and tell us about any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Free trial

The free trial lasts 3 days or 60 minutes of calls, whichever comes first, starting with the first call the receptionist answers. No payment is required during the trial. We text you when the trial is nearly over and when it ends. The receptionist keeps answering for a short grace period (24 hours or 15 minutes of calls), then it is paused: your callers hear a short message and we remind you to turn off call forwarding. The service continues only if you choose to subscribe.

4. Price and payment

• The subscription is at the price shown on our website when you subscribe: CA$60 per month plus taxes, with no contract. It includes 500 call minutes per month.
• Minutes beyond that are billed at the rate shown on our website ($0.10 per minute).
• The subscription is payable monthly in advance. We may change our prices with 30 days' notice; you can then cancel at no cost.

5. Cancellation

• You can cancel at any time, at no cost; the month already started remains due and is not refunded.
• On cancellation, your business's Répondo number is released. Remember to turn off call forwarding on your phone (the codes are in your space).
• We may suspend or close an account for non-payment or use contrary to these terms, after notifying you when possible.

6. Your responsibilities

• You remain responsible for your relationship with your own customers, the appointments booked and the services offered.
• Where needed, you inform your customers that a virtual receptionist answers your calls and that their information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
• You do not use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes, or for unsolicited marketing.

7. Limits of the service

• The receptionist is a virtual assistant that uses artificial intelligence. It can misunderstand a request or make a mistake; check your appointments and messages in the app.
• It gives no medical, legal or professional advice. It does not replace emergency services: in an emergency, it tells the caller to dial 9-1-1.
• We aim for continuous availability, but the service also depends on providers (telephony, hosting, calendar) and may be interrupted, for example for maintenance or an outage.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost revenue or customers, except in the case of gross or intentional fault.

9. Your data

Your business's and your customers' information belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. When your account is deleted, it is deleted.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For significant changes, we notify you by email at least 30 days in advance; if you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute falls under the courts of the judicial district of Montréal.
